The history of the department

In the 2023-2024 academic year, the departments of the Faculty of «Pedagogy and Management in Education» were redistributed depending on the specifics of educational programs, areas of work, production needs, the department of «General Pedagogy and Management in Education» was created. Faculty of the department 4 candidates of sciences, 2 Doctors of Philosophy (PhD), 6 masters.

The department trains professionally qualified bachelors, masters in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan «On Education», regulatory legal acts of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Charter of the University. The educational, research work of the Department of General Pedagogy and Management in Education fully ensures the organization in accordance with the requirements for educational programs.

From the 2020-2021 academic year, in accordance with the requirements of society and the expansion of the functional trajectory of the social pedagogue’s activity, the «5B012300-Social Pedagogy and self-knowledge» program has been supplemented with new content and renamed «6B01801-Social Pedagogy and Tutoring».

The educational program «6B01801-Social pedagogy and tutoring» took 1st place in the rating of educational programs of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan organized by the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan «Atameken» in 2021.

In 2018, the educational programs «6M010300-Pedagogy and Psychology» were accredited, in 2022 «6B01801-Social Pedagogy and tutoring», «6B01102-Psychology and Management in Education».

Directions of joint work with branches of the department

The work of the branches of the Department of the University is carried out in accordance with the Regulation «On branches of the Department», approved by the protocol of the Academic Council №5 of November 30, 2022. The branches of the department function as a training base, providing the educational process, research, methodological and practical activities.

To date, the branches of the department at the university are doing a lot of work on:

participation of employers in the development, discussion, design, adoption, approval and implementation of modular educational programs, a catalog of elective disciplines;
providing dual training opportunities to students;
organization and conduct of training sessions in approved disciplines, including laboratory and practical classes;
conducting joint methodological seminars;
organization and conduct of research works of students, professional practitioners;
conducting joint scientific research and introducing their results into production;
development of elective courses, topics of term papers and theses (projects) taking into account the needs of the enterprise;
employment of graduates and tracking their career growth;
organization of research work on the topics proposed by the enterprise with the involvement of students and the implementation of their results in practice, etc.

Practice week

Students of the 4th year of the educational program 6B01102 – Psychology and management of education, 6B01801-Social pedagogy and tutoring undergo industrial (pedagogical) practice from 04.09 to 15.12 2023-2024 academic year. The head of the department Ramazanova D. Zh., the teacher responsible for the practice at the department Baymakhan S. N. at the meeting of the department provided information about the progress of students passing the bases of industrial practice and held a discussion with the heads of the practice.

The teaching staff of the department systematically takes professional development courses at the International, national levels in order to improve the educational process and provide it with new innovative technologies.
